Thanks for the reply Bob. I don’t know anything about operating Hercs, but this sure was an immaculate plane when I jumped it in 2005. I got a peek at the innards when they were running some new antenna cable and it was super clean even behind the inspection panels. Hope it flies again. It sat for a long time outdoors (in AZ?) before Earl Cherry bought it from the previous owner. It didn’t require much work to get it flying again back then according to Earl. He and his crew were lodging at the same motel as I was and we talked a lot about operating old Hercs over breakfast. He mentioned the 3 bladed props were actually more efficient below 17,000 ft than the newer 4 bladed versions.
